Part of Alexander Rose's well-known Broadfield bench design, it combines the natural warmth of acacia hardwood with an elegant curved slatted back and traditional wooden armrests.

Classic Broadfield Design

The Broadfield is one of Alexander Rose's most recognisable garden bench styles. Its gently curved backrest is formed from shaped vertical wooden slats, creating a more distinctive and supportive profile than a conventional straight-backed garden bench.

The traditional design works equally well as a standalone feature in the garden or alongside other wooden outdoor furniture.

Made from Acacia Hardwood

The bench is crafted from acacia hardwood, a strong and naturally attractive timber widely used for outdoor furniture.

Acacia has a warm natural colour and distinctive grain, meaning that subtle variations in tone and pattern are part of the character of real timber and make each bench slightly different.

Comfortable Two-Seater Garden Bench

At approximately 4ft wide, the Broadfield provides comfortable seating for two while remaining compact enough for smaller outdoor spaces.

Oiled Natural Finish

The acacia timber is supplied with an oiled finish that highlights the natural colour and grain of the wood.

As with all natural wooden garden furniture, the appearance of the timber will gradually change when exposed to sunlight and weather. If left untreated, the wood will eventually develop a more weathered grey appearance.

Caring for Your Acacia Bench

We recommend cleaning the bench as required with mild soapy water and treating the timber annually with a suitable wood treatment to help nourish the wood and retain its original appearance for longer.

A suitable furniture cover can also help protect the bench from prolonged exposure to dirt and poor weather when it is not being used.

Natural timber can expand and contract as weather conditions change. Minor surface checking, grain variation and changes in colour are normal characteristics of real wood and do not necessarily indicate a fault.

Assembly

The Alexander Rose Broadfield Bench is supplied flat-packed and requires assembly. Assembly instructions are included with the product.

Delivery and Returns Information

Delivery is charged on a per item basis. If you are purchasing multiple products in one transaction you will only be charged one delivery rate. This rate will be calculated on our checkout page. Parcels will be packaged separately where possible to reduce the chance of damage.

We aim to deliver within a few working days if the item is in stock. If for any unforeseen reason an item is out of stock we will call you with similar product options or a revised expected delivery date, or to arrange a refund if necessary. Certain items are drop-shipped directly from the manufacturer. If this is the case for your order, you will be informed before delivery.

Deliveries of most large items to Co. Dublin, Co. Meath, Co. Kildare & Co. Wicklow will be done by Outdoor Living drivers. Delivery of smaller items to these areas will be done by Fastway or An Post. Deliveries of large items to the rest of Ireland and to Northern Ireland will be done by Independent couriers. Your delivery method will be confirmed via email or phone before delivery.

If an item is on Pre-Order we will show the date that we expect this item to be back in stock in our warehouse. Our forecasted delivery window will begin from the date that the item is accepted into our Warehouse.

Please Note: Customers are responsible for disposing of all packaging materials, including cardboard, crates and wooden frames, that may be used to keep the product safe and secure during shipping.

Acacia is a durable natural hardwood, but regular care will help keep your Alexander Rose Broadfield Bench looking its best for longer.

Clean the bench periodically using a soft cloth or brush with mild soapy water. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners and pressure washing, as these can damage the surface of the timber.

To help maintain the original warm colour of the acacia wood, we recommend applying a suitable outdoor timber treatment or hardwood oil as required. Always follow the instructions provided with the treatment product.

If left untreated, the timber will naturally weather over time and gradually develop a silver-grey appearance. This is a normal characteristic of outdoor hardwood and does not affect the structural performance of the bench.

During prolonged periods of poor weather or when the bench is not being used, a suitable breathable furniture cover can help reduce exposure to dirt and moisture. Avoid covering the bench while it is wet, and allow air to circulate around the furniture.

As acacia is a natural material, small changes in colour, grain, surface checking and minor movement may occur as the timber responds to changing weather conditions. These are normal characteristics of real wood rather than manufacturing defects.
