Classic Turnberry Design

The Turnberry is distinguished by its elegant curved backrest, with vertical timber slats following the shape of the bench to create an attractive and supportive seating position.

A gently arched top rail and shaped wooden armrests complete the traditional design, giving the bench a more decorative appearance than a conventional straight-backed garden seat.

FSC-Certified Acacia Hardwood

The Redcliffe Turnberry is manufactured from FSC-certified acacia hardwood, a strong and naturally attractive timber widely used for quality outdoor furniture.

Acacia has a distinctive grain and warm golden-brown colour. The timber is hand sanded to create a smooth surface before being given an oiled finish that enhances the natural appearance of the wood.

As this is a natural timber product, variations in grain, colour and tone are normal and help give each bench its own individual character.

Delivery and Returns Information

Delivery is charged on a per item basis. If you are purchasing multiple products in one transaction you will only be charged one delivery rate. This rate will be calculated on our checkout page. Parcels will be packaged separately where possible to reduce the chance of damage.

We aim to deliver within a few working days if the item is in stock. If for any unforeseen reason an item is out of stock we will call you with similar product options or a revised expected delivery date, or to arrange a refund if necessary. Certain items are drop-shipped directly from the manufacturer. If this is the case for your order, you will be informed before delivery.

Deliveries of most large items to Co. Dublin, Co. Meath, Co. Kildare & Co. Wicklow will be done by Outdoor Living drivers. Delivery of smaller items to these areas will be done by Fastway or An Post. Deliveries of large items to the rest of Ireland and to Northern Ireland will be done by Independent couriers. Your delivery method will be confirmed via email or phone before delivery.

If an item is on Pre-Order we will show the date that we expect this item to be back in stock in our warehouse. Our forecasted delivery window will begin from the date that the item is accepted into our Warehouse.

Acacia is a durable natural hardwood, but regular care will help keep your Alexander Rose Redcliffe Turnberry Bench looking its best for longer.

Clean the timber periodically using a soft cloth or brush with mild soapy water. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners and pressure washing, as these can damage the surface of the wood.

To help nourish the timber and retain its original golden-brown colour, Alexander Rose recommends treating Redcliffe furniture annually with a suitable timber treatment. Always follow the instructions supplied with the treatment product.

If the wood is left untreated, its appearance will naturally change over time as it is exposed to sunlight and weather. This weathering process is normal for outdoor hardwood furniture.

Check the bench periodically and tighten any screws or bolts that may have loosened through normal use or natural movement of the timber.

A suitable breathable furniture cover can also help reduce exposure to dirt and prolonged poor weather when the bench is not being used. Always allow the furniture to dry before covering it and ensure that air can circulate around the timber.

As acacia is a natural material, variations in colour and grain, minor surface checking and small amounts of movement may occur as the timber responds to changing weather conditions. These are normal characteristics of real wood.
