Classic Broadfield Design

The Broadfield is distinguished by its gently curved slatted backrest, designed to create a more comfortable and supportive seating position than a conventional straight-backed garden bench.

Traditional wooden armrests and a slatted seat complete the design, creating a timeless garden bench that works equally well in traditional and contemporary outdoor spaces.

At 151cm wide, the 5ft Broadfield provides more seating space than the compact 4ft version and can comfortably accommodate up to three people.

Delivery and Returns Information

Delivery is charged on a per item basis. If you are purchasing multiple products in one transaction you will only be charged one delivery rate. This rate will be calculated on our checkout page. Parcels will be packaged separately where possible to reduce the chance of damage.

We aim to deliver within a few working days if the item is in stock. If for any unforeseen reason an item is out of stock we will call you with similar product options or a revised expected delivery date, or to arrange a refund if necessary. Certain items are drop-shipped directly from the manufacturer. If this is the case for your order, you will be informed before delivery.

Deliveries of most large items to Co. Dublin, Co. Meath, Co. Kildare & Co. Wicklow will be done by Outdoor Living drivers. Delivery of smaller items to these areas will be done by Fastway or An Post. Deliveries of large items to the rest of Ireland and to Northern Ireland will be done by Independent couriers. Your delivery method will be confirmed via email or phone before delivery.

If an item is on Pre-Order we will show the date that we expect this item to be back in stock in our warehouse. Our forecasted delivery window will begin from the date that the item is accepted into our Warehouse.

The Alexander Rose New England collection is designed for outdoor use, but regular care will help preserve the distinctive satin white finish of your Broadfield Bench.

Clean the bench periodically using a soft cloth or sponge with mild soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals and pressure washing, as these may damage the painted surface.

Acacia is a natural timber and will expand and contract slightly as temperature and moisture levels change. Over time, this natural movement may cause small hairline cracks to appear in the painted finish, particularly around joints. This is a normal characteristic of painted wooden outdoor furniture.

If the paint becomes damaged or begins to deteriorate, lightly sand the affected area back to sound timber before evenly applying a suitable white satin polyurethane paint.

Make sure the timber is clean and completely dry before carrying out any sanding or painting, and always follow the instructions supplied with the chosen paint product.

A suitable breathable furniture cover can help reduce exposure to dirt and prolonged poor weather when the bench is not being used. Allow the bench to dry fully before covering it and make sure air can circulate around the furniture.

Periodically check all fixings and tighten any screws or bolts that may have loosened through normal use or the natural movement of the timber.
