Details chevron-up chevron-down

Add a fresh, elegant seating feature to your garden with the 4ft Alexander Rose New England Broadfield Garden Bench.

Made from FSC-certified acacia hardwood and finished in crisp satin white polyurethane paint, the New England Broadfield offers a lighter take on the traditional wooden garden bench. Its clean white finish works particularly well on patios, terraces, courtyards and colourful planted areas.

Classic Broadfield Design

The Broadfield features a gently curved slatted backrest that gives the bench its distinctive shape while providing comfortable support.

Traditional wooden armrests and a slatted seat complete the design, creating an inviting two-person bench that combines classic styling with the fresh appearance of the New England collection.

White Painted Acacia Hardwood

The bench is manufactured from acacia hardwood, a strong natural timber widely used for outdoor furniture.

Unlike natural-finish acacia furniture, the New England collection is coated in a durable satin white polyurethane paint. This creates its distinctive clean appearance while allowing the strength and character of the hardwood construction underneath to be retained.

FSC-Certified Timber

The timber used in the New England collection is FSC certified, providing reassurance that the wood has been sourced with responsible forest management in mind.

Compact Two-Seater Garden Bench

At 127cm wide, the 4ft Broadfield provides comfortable seating for two while remaining compact enough for smaller patios and garden spaces.

Its bright white finish makes it particularly effective against green planting, colourful borders and darker patio or decking surfaces.

Designed for Outdoor Use

The Alexander Rose New England range is designed for outdoor use. The slatted seat and back help rainwater drain away naturally, while regular care of the painted finish will help preserve the appearance of the bench over time.

Assembly

The New England Broadfield Bench requires assembly. Assembly instructions are included with the product.

Maintenance chevron-up chevron-down

The Alexander Rose New England collection is designed for outdoor use, but regular care will help preserve its distinctive satin white finish.

Clean the bench periodically using a soft cloth or sponge with mild soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals and pressure washing, as these may damage the painted surface.

Acacia is a natural timber and will expand and contract slightly as temperature and moisture levels change. Over time, this natural movement may result in small hairline cracks appearing in the painted finish, particularly around joints. This is a normal characteristic of painted wooden outdoor furniture.

If the paint becomes damaged or begins to deteriorate, the affected area can be lightly sanded back to sound timber before being evenly refinished with a suitable white satin polyurethane paint.

When carrying out repairs, make sure the timber is clean and completely dry before sanding or applying paint. Always follow the instructions supplied with the chosen paint product.

During prolonged periods of poor weather or when the bench is not being used, a suitable breathable furniture cover can help reduce exposure to dirt and moisture. Allow the bench to dry fully before covering it and ensure air can circulate around the furniture.

Periodically check all fixings and tighten any screws or bolts that may have loosened through normal use or natural movement of the timber.
