01. Saunas

Saunas, long associated with relaxation and indulgence, offer more than just a cosy escape from the cold. Beyond the soothing warmth they provide, saunas offer a range of physical, mental, and even social advantages that contribute to overall well-being. They have been proven to promote detoxification and cleansing, improve circulation, reduce stress and induce relaxation, relieve muscle and joint pain, aid in weight management and support the immune system.

The origins of the sauna trace back to Northern Europe where its use was more than just a hygienic routine, it was a cherished social activity and even a place for healing the sick. The combination of heat, steam and sometimes aromatic herbs was believed to purify the body and spirit, contributing to overall wellness. Our Deluxe Barrel Sauna is extremely energy efficient and is made from sustainable Nordic Spruce. Its barrel shape design minimizes heat loss and creates a more even distribution of heat throughout the sauna, providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

02. Garden Buildings

Incorporating a garden building, such as a gazebo or canopies can provide you with additional space to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of a busy lifestyle. You can create a serene sanctuary that caters to your individual needs—whether it's a peaceful retreat for a morning yoga session before work, a tranquil meditation room to unwind after a hectic day, or even a home gym to release built-up tension. The endless possibilities of these spaces allow you to personalize and improve your surroundings for a range of wellness activities.

03. Hot Tubs

Hot tubs, also known as spas or Jacuzzis, provide a relaxing and therapeutic experience that comes with various health benefits. While hot tubs are primarily associated with leisure and enjoyment, they can positively impact physical and mental well-being. Some of the health benefits of hot tubs include stress reduction, muscle relaxation, pain relief, improved sleep, enhanced circulation and lower blood pressure.

Hot tubs have historical roots in many cultures, most notably Ancient Rome and Japan. Romans used public bathhouses that included hot baths, viewing them as essential social and communal spaces, promoting relaxation and well-being. In Japan, the tradition of hot spring bathing, or ‘Onsen’ is deeply ingrained in the culture. The naturally heated waters are believed to possess healing properties, contributing to relaxation and rejuvenation.

Our Delux 200 Hot Tub with integrated heater is a high-quality new generation hot tub that is compact and economical. The external wood is thermally treated with an insulated lid to conserve the water temperature.  Our Delux 200 Hot Tub is on display and available in-store only in our Glen of the Downs Showroom.

04. Water Features

Water features are not only used in gardens and outdoor spaces as a focal point or for aesthetics but are also appreciated for their ability to create a sense of tranquillity. Beyond their decorative function, water features and fountains can have positive health benefits, reducing blood pressure and stress levels and improving physical and mental health. Water features have an innate ability to induce relaxation. The gentle sound of flowing water can have a calming effect on the mind, reducing stress and anxiety. The visual appeal of water in motion provides a sense of serenity, making them ideal additions to your outdoor space. The serene environment created by water features can enhance cognitive function and creativity. People often find it easier to focus and think more clearly in tranquil surroundings with the gentle sound of water.

Water features which have been incorporated into landscaped gardens, especially in hospital grounds, are noted for aiding operation recovery time, reducing pain relief medication and reducing stress and anxiety. They provide a sense of calm and tranquillity and allow us to enjoy our surroundings a little more.
